Caite Hill

Caite Hill

Caite is a mom to 2 beautiful children. Logan, who is 4, and Alyra, who just had her first birthday in April. Two weeks ago, just 6 days after Alyra’s 1st birthday, she suddenly passed away. Alyra had some heart issues that were known and Caite was the most dedicated and devoted mother to her during her year of life. No one could have cared more for Alyra than Caite. She also did this while being a wonderfully devoted mother to Logan and an amazing wife to Hunter. I think this would be an amazing way to honor Caite because even though Alyra is no longer with us, Caite will always be her mother. Caite needs our prayers and support.

Renee Cook

Renee Cook

Renee is the most unflappable mom I know. She takes great care of Molly, Miles and husband Greg. She works full time. She teaches riding and dressage and leads the local dressage association. She is a runner and is constantly encouraging her friends to run too. She is an amazing friend and always finds time to listen and to offer sensible advice when asked. She is a great daughter and sister and daughter-in-law. She finds time to take her daughter to dance and gymnastics and all sorts of enrichment activities. She keeps after a true menagerie of pets at home. She’s like the Wonder Woman of moms and friends!

Maryjane Martinez

Maryjane Martinez

She is so caring and is so selfless! She always helps everyone and is a hard-working mama!

Amy Fryar

Amy Fryar

Amy is married to her husband Robby (of 14 years) and they have 3 children, Sadie, Savannah, and Jude. Sadie and Savannah both have autism; Sadie is high functioning, but Savannah’s autism is severe and she has very limited words even at 8 years old. Jude is 3 years old so you can imagine just how busy Amy is on a regular basis. Amy taught elementary school until last year when she decided to quit and stay home to home school Sadie, who needed more one on one, self-paced schooling than the public school system could give her. Amy is an amazing person in general, but more specifically, she loves God and studying the bible more than any other person I know. Amy is extremely knowledgeable and is a natural born bible teacher, although I’m not sure she knows it yet. Amy plans to go back to college to get her master of Biblical Interpretation in the fall. She’s an expert life juggler if there ever was one! She’s an incredible friend and she makes me want to be a better person.

Dawna Gillespie

Dawna Gillespie

Dawna is a local Lubbock artist and mom. She is a metalsmith and makes incredible jewelry that started out as a sheet of metal. She is the founder and owner of Copper d Studio. She has been featured in a national magazine and invited to speak and showcase her work all over the country. She does all this while being a super mom to her 4-year-old son, Calder, and wife to her high school sweetheart, Robert. She stays at home with Calder during the day and spends many late nights working in her studio. Even though she juggles so many responsibilities, Dawna is an awesome friend and willing to lend a listening ear to anyone who may need one!

Brooke Wolcott

Brooke Wolcott

Brooke is an amazing mom to 2 sets of twins! That’s four kids 3 and under! Not only that, but her babies all came prematurely and with their own challenges, including cleft palate and cystic fibrosis. She is a strong Christian who has stayed strong through many of the unknowns, scares, and the demand of being a full-time mommy to her kids. She carries it all with so much grace and beauty and is an inspiration to many moms!

Janessa Walls

Janessa Walls

Janessa is an amazing mom to 2 kids (7 and 4) and 2 dogs. She is one of the most genuine and caring people you will ever meet and I am proud to say she is my friend (almost 20 years) and business partner. She manages to engage her kids daily at a meaningful level, workout, do all the things to keep their lives (and home) running smoothly, run a side business, and still have time for her friends and family. A healthy lifestyle is her passion and she is such an encourager to those around her because she truly wants them to live their best life. She is one of the wisest, loyal, level-headed people I know and am blessed to have her in my life, and I think everyone who knows her would say the same.

Haleigh Kern

Haleigh Kern

Haleigh is one of the best moms I know. She was a teacher and gave it up to do her dream job of being a stay at home mom. She does everything for her kids from kissing boo-boos to packing lunches. She is able to be a stay at home mom thanks to her husband and also getting people in shape(she teaches fitness classes at 5am so she doesn’t miss time with her kids). She works at her kids’ mothers day out so she can be close to them and share the love with all the kiddos there. She is such a loving friend(always there for me), wife, and mom. She deserves to know how amazing she is!

Kaitlyn Williams

Kaitlyn Williams

Kaitlyn is not only a rockstar wife and momma, but she’s a recent LCU graduate (walking the stage on May 10) with her masters in nursing leadership. All of which she’s completed with a baby on her hip — mom goals for real. When she’s not juggling her mom/wife duties, she’s at Covenant Children’s working with all the excellent nurses who make up the pediatric inpatient unit. Kait is the Educator for that unit, and with a true passion for nursing, she selflessly helps to lead the team, while ensuring all her nurses stay up to date on their education. She’s a compassionate leader and friend. Kaitlyn is as humble and kind as they come so she won’t tell you how much she deals with and juggles in a day. That is one of the many reasons that she’s a mom I look up to and admire. With her heart of gold, she’s a top of the deck nurse, who I’d bet on any day.

Holly Latham

Holly Latham

Holly is an amazing mom here in Lubbock. She is a single mother to two beautiful girls named Vanessa and Lola. She is a full-time nurse at UMC, but still makes the time to be a full-time mom as well. In January of 2018, Holly went in for her first mammogram. Unfortunately, the results were not good and she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her journey consisted of chemotherapy, treatments, and surgeries. She went through so much but always had such an upbeat attitude throughout her journey. Never once did she complain or let it get the best of her. When asked how she remained so positive, she always replied with “I have no choice. I have to fight for my daughters.” And, fight she did! She is a true warrior! She is now a breast cancer survivor and cancer free. She is such an inspiration to others and she deserves the spotlight as a wonderful and amazing Lubbock mom!

Deanna Dawson

Deanna Dawson

Deanna is an amazing woman! She has 3 biological children, Emie, Will and Jake, and 1 adopted child, Joy, who has special needs. Deanna currently also has 2 foster children living in her home, 1 of which is a baby who also has special needs. Deanna and her husband, Aaron, have fostered many children over the past 6+ years and they have the hugest hearts. Deanna is one of the most compassionate, loving, and incredible people I’ve ever known. She is selfless in caring for others, she is unwavering in handling so many things at once, and she always makes time to be a good friend too. Deanna is a background person, meaning she is always helping and serving others but isn’t out front getting the praise for what she does. Deanna makes me feel important and I’m pretty sure she makes everyone she talks to feel important. She’s one of my heroes!

Kinsey Bailey

Kinsey Bailey

Kinsey is not only a devout wife to her husband, Kurt. She is also an amazing mom to a 3-year-old daughter, Kennedy, and 9-month-old twin boys, Rogue and Jax. With her husband constantly traveling and working in the oil field, she is a stay-at-home mom. I have yet to figure out how she does it all on a daily basis. Kinsey is my little sister, and I could not be more proud of the wife and mother she is today. Watching her with her sweet little family is truly a blessing for our family.

Ann Archer

Ann Archer

Ann has been both mom and dad to her girls since losing her husband to cancer in 2005 when her daughters were just 4 & 2. She has told her story to so many American Cancer Society supporters over the years, and we have grieved with her each time she remembers telling her girls “Daddy isn’t coming home.” She is an amazing mother to two wonderful young women who are out to make their mark in the world, as well as a loyal friend and fierce cancer-fighter. In addition, Ann, or “Ms. Archer” is a mama bear to over 300 little Eagles – she’s the Principal (and Number 1 Fan!) of Overton Elementary. No one loves and cares for children more than Ann, and she is so deserving to be spotlighted by Lubbock Moms Blog.

Kristin Proctor

Kristin Proctor

Kristin Proctor is the owner and instructor at ISR Self-Rescue Lubbock, but as most of us can attest, she’s so much more than that. In the 10 minute span that my son’s lessons last, I get to hang out with a girlfriend, a mom encourager, and a very important teacher. Kristin is kind and patient while still being firm with my little wild man and he’s done things that I could have never managed to teach him. I feel lost without our daily visit to Kristin’s house in Shallowater and will certainly be back next summer. She’s already earned a really special place in our family and we just love being around her. Never mind that she also taught my son how to save himself should he ever fall into the pool!
