The brand-new UMC Children’s Emergency Center is an emergency room just for kids, with access to more resuscitation and trauma rooms for children than any other hospital in West Texas. UMC Health System has the only Level 1 Trauma Center in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, which means a full trauma team is at the hospital 24/7 ready to treat our region’s most critically injured children. We are also home to the region’s only verified burn center for children. This means we care for kids from cities like El Paso, Odessa, Midland, Amarillo, Hobbs and Clovis.
