Dion’s Pizza Kit: Fun for the Whole Family

This is a sponsored post brought to you by our partners at Dion’s Pizza, but all thoughts and opinions are our own.

Many of us are still spending more time at home than ever before, and more time together than we’re probably used to. If you’re like the Lubbock Moms family, we’re always looking for ways to shake up our stay-at-home style and also remember how to have a little fun every once in a while. Introducing our new favorite family activity (no really, my kids are now calling themselves Mario and Luigi!): Dion’s Pizza kits!

Pros: you can order online for quick pick up or delivery, they come with everything you need, they’re quick and easy, and they make the kids feel super accomplished! And the biggest perk of all: DINNER IS DONE!

Step 1: Order Your Kit

Visit Dion’s website here. Make sure you navigate to your local restaurant and then start an online order. Select your option for pick up – don’t forget to wear your mask when you’re visiting in person! Scroll on over to the “Pizza Kit” option and give it a click. After that, you’ll choose your size and toppings – add to cart and complete your order!

Step 2: Make Your Pizza

So, after unpacking and setting everything out, we watched the instructional video that Dion’s provides: tps://player.vimeo.com/video/282754631. We talked about what our plan was and tried our best to keep little hands from dumping out the ingredients too soon. We might have snacked on those delicious pepperonis as we worked as well 😉 We opted for two pizzas – one for each kid – just to lessen any competition and to allow them to make exactly what they were going to eat (best-laid plans, right moms?!). Then, let them go! (Well, you know, stop them from throwing the dough across the room if you can.) Pop in the oven – pro tip, let them stand and watch the pizza cook while you clean up the mess – and get ready to enjoy!

Step 3: Happy Kids, Good Dinner, Family Fun!

This was such a great way for our family to have a nice meal (the pizzas really were delicious) and teach a lesson. And, the kids actually ate it – maybe there is something to that old wives tale… if they make it, they’ll eat it 😉 Making the Dion’s Pizza Kits became a regular Friday night activity for us and miraculously, all three times we did it, everyone was still happy when it was over. I’d say that’s a serious win!

Here is what our favorite funny mom, Julie had to say about her experience: “Getting, preparing, and eating our Dion’s pizza kit was the best experience! Ordering online was extremely easy and we were able to set a time convenient for us to pick up. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and I am so happy when Emery wants to come in and help me. I let her take the lead and it was well worth it. The instructions were very easy to follow and we went back to the video a couple of times to make sure we were doing the steps correctly. Emery’s favorite part was flipping the dough over her fists. We loved that there was plenty of cheese and pepperoni and we piled it on! We waited patiently for our pizza to cook and it was WELL worth it! We LOVE Dion’s take-home pizza kit!”
